Nominate Child
All the volunteers are requested to nominate deserving children for ’sponsor a child’ program. When you are teaching at a government school, aided school or in slums, if you have come across bright children, please collect their details by filling out Child Sponsorship form along with a copy of last year’s progress report and mail it to thechild@youthforseva.org. You can take help from the school teacher also to identify deserving children. This program will not cover children in orphanages and other NGOs. While collecting the details of children, DO NOT COMMIT TO CHILDREN about sponsorship. The number of children we can serve depends on the number of sponsors we get.
Age group: Please select children who are currently in 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th standard. (They will be in 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th from June 2009). We want the children to be in our program for at least 3 years before writing 10th standard exams. Exceptions can be made for few students who will be going to 9th standard in June. Please do it at the earliest, since the schools will close some time in March.
